The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a Friday evening crash on GA 15 at Talmadge Drive in Habersham County that left two people injured, one with serious injuries.
In a release, GSP officials said a 1996 Dodge Ram driven by Joel E. Brookshire, 88, of Gainesville was traveling south on GA 15. A Ford Escape driven by Tina Farmer Waycaster, 61, of Clarkesville was driving north and preparing to turn left.
GSP officials said Waycaster failed to yield. The Dodge collided with the Ford on the right side.
The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team assisted with the crash.
Waycaster was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with serious injuries.
Brookshire was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with possible minor injuries. Officials said his condition is unknown at this time.
