A Forsyth County teenager was recently indicted in connection with the murder of his mother in October.
Forsyth County Court Documents show Zachary Phillips, 15, was charged with malice murder, felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
He allegedly killed his mother, Cindy Phillips, 66, of Cumming, early in October.
Cindy's obituary said she was employed with the Forsyth County School System as a bus driver prior to her passing. She also previously served as a private caretaker for the elderly.
A bond hearing for Zachary is set for 9 a.m. on Jan. 11, 2024.
