BUFORD, Ga. — The Buford girls held Starr's Mill to 4 points or less in two of four quarters to spark an impressive 70-36 win between ranked teams on Saturday in North Georgia Showcase at The Buford Arena.
The Class 7A fifth-ranked Lady Wolves (7-1) used a 23-4 first quarter to take control and then pushed their lead 47-20 by halftime. They outscored the Class 4A ninth-ranked Lady Panthers (5-2) 21-12 in the third quarter to take a 68-32 lead heading into the fourth.
Ava Grace Watson poured in 20 of her game-high 28 points in the first half. Lydia Ledford added 15 for Buford.
Starr's Mill was held to just 1 3-pointer for the game. Lindsey Kopacek led the Lady Panthers with 16 points
