Jackson Electric Membership Corporation was recently ranked highest in customer satisfaction among electric cooperatives by the J.D. Power 2023 Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study.
A press release from Jackson EMC said the national study distinguished Jackson EMC with the highest satisfaction scores in the cooperative segment.
Six factors are examined in the study, which includes power quality and reliability, price, billing and payment, communications, corporate citizenship and customer care.
Jackson EMC achieved the highest score in the “Corporate Citizenship” segment.
“We’re honored to receive this award because it measures how we are serving our more than 260,000 members every day,” Jackson EMC President and CEO Chip Jakins said. “Our mission is to exceed our member's expectations with reliable, courteous, and personalized service. This is how our employees work every day. Receiving this award helps confirm that our members enjoy and value the work we do.”
The press release said Jackson EMC was previously honored in 2010 and 2011 by J.D. Power for Highest Customer Satisfaction Among Midsize Utilities in the South.
Jackson EMC is a member-owned electric cooperative, headquartered in Jefferson.
