A Bethlehem man was killed in a shooting with Barrow County Deputies Sunday after he allegedly approached authorities while armed.
According to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, preliminary information revealed Barrow County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded Sunday to a domestic disturbance at a home on Thorn Brook Circle in Bethlehem.
When deputies arrived, they were confronted by Robert Reynolds, Sr., 60, of Bethlehem. Reynolds was reportedly armed at the time.
Three deputies fired at Reynolds and he later died at a hospital.
No Barrow County deputies were injured in the incident. Reynolds was taken to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy.
"This investigation is active and ongoing," the press release said. "Once the investigation is complete, the case file will be given to the Piedmont Judicial Circuit for review."

An officer-involved shooting took place Sunday in Barrow County, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the matter.
According to a social media post from the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened in the Thornbrook subdivision in Bethlehem.
The agency said the public was not in any danger.
No details have been released regarding what took place or if any injuries were incurred as a result.
