Girls basketball: Cherokee Bluff blows past Seckinger; Branch wins in OT; LCA wins

Brooklyn Phillips and Emma Reynolds combined for 24 points to lead Cherokee Bluff past Seckinger, 56-9, on Friday.

Phillips led the Lady Bears with 13 points, and Reynolds finished with 11.

Emery Jones chipped in 8 points, and Claire Carlson finished with 7.

HABERSHAM CENTRAL 41 OT

In a back-and-forth game, the Lady Falcons (2-3) needed overtime to get past Habersham Central in Mt. Airy. 

The Lady Raiders led 5-3 after the first, and the game was tied at the half, 15-15. In the second half, the Lady Raiders took a one-point lead to the fourth quarter. The game was tied 38-38 at the end of regulation. 

Jayla Gudz led the Lady Falcons with 17 points, Jess Tamplin had 9 and Deniya Randolph added 7. 


LANIER CHRISTIAN 43,
JOHNSON FERRY 7

Lanier Christian came out on fire and, with balanced scoring, blew out Johnson Ferry at Life University on Friday.
