TALLULAH FALLS, Ga. — Towns County built a big early lead and had to hold on down the stretch to Tallulah Falls, 47-44, on the road on Thursday.
The Indians (5-1) ran out to a nine-point by halftime before Tallulah Falls rallied in the third quarter. The game was back-and-forth in the fourth quarter before Towns County was able to pull away late.
Senior Zane Floyd paced Towns County with 22 points. Senior Connor Chastain pitched in 11 for the Indians.
Towns County is off until Friday, Dec. 8 when the Indians will play host to Union County.

The Eagles dropped to 1-2 after a tough road loss in Cleveland on Tuesday.
MCA (1-2) was outscored 17-9 in the fourth quarter as WCCA (5-2) was able to extend a close one-point lead.
Tarell Grant finished with a game-high 26 points and 5 assists to lead MCA. Bode Fisher added 14 points and 7 rebounds. Nigel Clayton chipped in with 10 points for the Eagles.
Maximus Whitmire paced WCCA with 21 points for WCCA. Brett Fortner added 20 points, including 5 3-pointers and Luke Shook had 14 points. WCCA drained nine 3-pointers as a team.
MCA travels to Acworth on Friday to take on Harvest Baptist.
