Boil Water Advisory in effect for parts of Forsyth County

Forsyth County officials have issued a boil water advisory for many residents in and around the Shady Grove Road area, due to a water main break.

Communications Director Russell Brown said Forsyth's Department of Water and Sewer reported the water main breakage Thursday morning, in the Shady Grove Road peninsula. The county urged all residents affected to boil their tap water for drinking or cooking food until the advisory has been lifted.

Customers along the following roads are under the advisory and should boil water for at least one full minute after reaching a full boil:

Customers in these areas are asked to continue to boil water for 48 hours unless notified otherwise by the Forsyth County Department of Water and Sewer.
