A Cleveland man was killed Monday afternoon in White County in a three-vehicle wreck involving a tractor-trailer.
The Georgia State Patrol said the wreck happened at about 5:00 p.m. Monday in the area of Ga 115 and Asbury Mill Road west of Cleveland.
A state trooper determined that a 2021 Toyota Rav-4, driven by Andrew Clark, 30, of Cleveland, was driving south on Asbury Mill Road when he allegedly failed to yield for the stop sign.
The Rav-4 entered the path of a tractor-trailer driven by Joseph R. Dyer, 62, Blairsville, who was driving west on Ga 115.
The tractor-trailer struck the driver's side of the Rav-4, causing the Rav-4 to overturn. The tractor-trailer then began to jack-knife and traveled into the eastbound lanes, where it struck a Toyota Highlander driven by Harry Martin, 31, of Cornelia.
Clark was trapped in the Rav-4 and had to be extricated by White County Fire/EMS.
Clark succumbed to his injuries on the scene and was pronounced dead.
