A Cornelia man is facing a list of charges including DUI after a single-vehicle injury crash Saturday in Habersham County.
A release from the Habersham County Sheriff's Office Monday said Israel Valentine Ramirez, age 36, was driving on Cannon Bridge Road at Old Cleveland Road around 7:45 p.m. when he left the roadway and overturned. Both Ramirez and a passenger were seriously injured.
A third female passenger was not hurt.
The two were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment. Ramirez was later arrested on charges including DUI, Serious Injury by Vehicle, Reckless Driving and Too Fast for Conditions.
As of Monday morning, Ramirez was being held in the Habersham County Detention Center on more than $23,000 bond.
