Georgia commuters have another week of lowering gas prices at the pump.
The Thanksgiving week ends with prices at the pumps averaging $2.79 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline, as of Monday. The state average is 3 cents less than a week ago, 20 cents less than a month ago, and 25 cents less than at this time last year.
Montrae Waiters of AAA adds that this is another week of steadily lowering prices over a 2 month period of declines, due in part to the suspended gas tax by Governor Kemp.
The lowest average price in Northeast Georgia is in Dawson County at $2.69 per gallon. Hall and Gwinnett County commuters will see an average at around $2.73 on Monday.
The nationwide average price for unleaded regular gasoline sits at $3.25 per gallon, according to the AAA website. You can access the page, HERE.
