JEFFERSON, Ga. — Jefferson rallied from a third quarter deficit to knock off Class 4A No. 7 Chestatee 55-52 to capture the Jackson EMC Championship on Tuesday at The Arena.
The Lady Dragons (3-1) trailed 42-39 after the third quarter but reclaimed the lead in the fourth quarter. Chestatee (2-1) had a chance to tie the game at the end but missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Emeri Billings poured in 20 points to pace Jefferson. Anni Aldridge added 10 points and 5 rebounds and Skyler Brady had 7 points for the Lady Dragons.
It was a back-and-forth battle the entire way. Chestatee jumped out to a 20-13 lead after the first quarter on the strength of five 3-pointers. But Jefferson used a 16-6 run with the Lady War Eagles' Riley Black on the bench in foul trouble to take a 31-28 halftime lead.
Black scored 8 of her team-high 19 points in the third quarter as the Lady War Eagles reclaimed the lead heading into the fourth quarter. Black also pulled down 8 rebounds. Caroline Bull added 15 points for Chestatee.

The Lady Bears dropped a tough decision to the Lady Hawks in the championship game of the North Georgia High School Thanksgiving Classic at Winder Barrow HS.
Freshman Bristol Kersh led Bluff with 12 points, 2 assist, and 2 steals. Sophomore Claire Carlson added 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals and senior Emma Reynolds had 6 points for the Lady Bears.

The Lady Lions opened the game with a 22-6 first quarter run en route to the win.
Lakeview (3-0) led 33-20 at halftime and took a 49-29 lead into the fourth quarter.
Taliah Gaither scored 21 points to lead Lakeview. Taylor Clark added 14 points and Dynesty Putman had 8 points for the Lady Lions.
