A Fannin County man is facing numerous illegal drug and weapons possession charges following a year-long task force investigation.
the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement team worked with the FBI, Fannin and Gilmer Sheriff's Offices to arrest 66-year old Raymond Akins of Blue Ridge on November 8th.
Officials say Akins was found with over 16 kilograms of meth, 900 grams of marijuana at his home during a warranted search.
He was allegedly found with 45 firearms, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash at the time of the raid.
Added warrants were also issued for Akins' son, Cody Akins, according to an ARDEO press release Monday.
