How low can gas prices go throughout Northeast Georgia?

The state's gas price average continues to drop, compared to a week ago. Drivers are now paying an average price of $2.90 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline, six cents below the average price from one week ago and 30 cents lower that one month ago.

Triple-A of Georgia's web page shows Hall County commuters paying an average price of $2.76 today (Monday), with only Dawson County paying less at the pumps throughout Northeast Georgia.

Montrae Waiters of Triple-A says lower seasonal gas demand alongside currently declining nationwide oil prices are behind the continued gasoline price drops.

Waiters also reminds commuters to watch global events for the future effects on oil prices, which currently remain fluid for now, but could create future increases if foreign supplies decrease.
