COAL MOUNTAIN, Ga. – A pick-six in the opening minute of the game put North Forsyth ahead for good as the Raiders took down Apalachee, 42-13, Friday night.
Colton Constable returned an interception 45 yards on the opening drive of the game to put North Forsyth up, 7-0. Walker Roberts then caught a pass from Eli Seaney early in the second quarter to double the lead to 14-0.
After the Wildcats scored midway through the second to trim the lead down, Brady Holbrook hauled in a pass from Seaney for 87 yards and a 21-7 lead. Roberts extended the lead just before halftime on a 25-yard touchdown reception to give North Forsyth a 28-7 lead at intermission.
Cole Smith caust an 11-yard touchdown early in the third before Karsyn McBrayer wrapped the night with a 9-yard touchdown run midway through the third. Apalachee scored with 16 seconds left in the game to get to the final score.
Seaney finished the day 15-for-27 for 250 yards through the air to lead the Raider offense.
North Forsyth will travel to Hughes in the opening round of the Class 6A playoffs.
