No injuries were reported but an Alto home was heavily damaged by fire Thursday afternoon.
Banks County Fire Chief Steve Nichols said in a release fire crews were called at about 2:30 p.m. to the scene on Hidden Valley Drive.
Arriving units found a single-family home "well involved" with fire.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
Habersham County Fire and Emergency Services assisted on the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Banks County Fire Department and the Georgia State Fire Marshal's Office
