A father and mother from Gainesville were recently arrested on allegations their infant son was seriously injured in 2022.
According to B.J. Williams, public information officer with the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Luis Jesus Zamora, 22, was arrested Sunday, and his wife Arianna Cecilia Reyes Ponce, 19, was arrested Monday.
Both have been charged with felony child cruelty in the first degree.
Williams said their son was five weeks old when he was injured. No information was released regarding how the child sustained the injuries.
The investigation into the matter is continuing.
