The Hall County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting incident that happened Thursday afternoon in north Hall County.
A press release from the agency said the Deputies responded at about 5:30 p.m. in the 4800 block of Jess Helton Road. Deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper right arm.
The shooter left the scene before the arrival of law enforcement. The victim and the shooting suspect know one another. It's not believed to be a random crime.
HCSO criminal investigators do not have a motive for the shooting. The search for the shooting continues.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. He remained hospitalized as of Friday morning.
