Four adults and four children were displaced by a house fire that broke out in central Hall County Tuesday.

Hall County Fire Rescue was called to the home on Floyd Road - located just off U.S. 129/Athens Highway - at 4:25 p.m.

"Crews found smoke showing and a small working fire confined to one room of a single-wide mobile home," said Kimberlie Ledsinger, Public Information Officer for Hall County Fire Rescue."

After firefighters were able to extinguish the bulk of the fire, a search of the residence was then carried out.

"It was all clear and the flames were knocked down quickly," Ledsinger said.

Crews remained on scene into the early evening hours in order to ventilate any remaining smoke from the home.

The American Red Cross was called in to assist the eight people displaced by the fire, and the cause is now under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
