For the moment, gas prices are still lower this week in Georgia, compared to a week ago.

That's from AAA of Georgia, which says the average price for unleaded regular gasoline sits around $3.15 per gallon, as of today (Monday).

This is 9 cents lower than last week, 42 cents lower than a month ago, and actually 6 cents lower than at this time last year, According to AAA's Montrae Waiters.

Slack demand, Governor Kemp's extended gas tax suspension are key factors.

Average price for a gallon of gasoline in Hall County sits at $3.05, as of today.  National average price for gas is around $3.70 per gallon.
