Seven people were arrested, with five of them facing drug and gang-related charges, after recent police operations in Hart County.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the arrests in a release Monday evening, saying the operation was the result of an investigation into alleged gang activity.

Authorities first arrested five men. Below is a list of the suspects and their charges:

During the arrests of the five men, authorities also obtained a search warrant for a home, where they later found 26 pounds of marijuana, cash and a firearm in a search on January 17. Two more suspects, Bryson Jordan, age 25, and Diamond Scott, age 21, were arrested in that search. They were both charged with Trafficking in Marijuana with Jordan also facing other charges including Violation of Gang Act.

The GBI's Athens office was assisted in the operations by the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, the Gang Task Force, along with the Hart County Sheriff’s Office and the Hartwell Police Department.
