The Raiders beat Lee County 40-28 in the opening round and then nipped Woodward Academy, 32-31, in the semifinals to advance. Both teams were looking for their first-ever Duals title.

Buford also finished second in Class 7A, falling to now-seven-time defending Duals Champion Camden County, 39-22, at The Buford Arena. The Wolves rolled into the finals with big wins over Brookwood and West Forsyth. They held a 22-15 lead with five matches left but could not hold on.
