For the third straight week, gas prices have risen across the state of Georgia.
The latest report from AAA shows the average price of a gallon of regular in the state is $3.06 as of Monday morning. That's up 25 cents from a week ago after the state's gas tax suspension expired during the previous week.
Those prices, however, are still 24 cents better than the national average of $3.30 per gallon and 5 cents lower than this time in 2022.
Locally, prices are coming in lower than the state average. The average price in Hall County is $3.01. The cheapest prices in Northeast Georgia are in Rabun County at $2.93.
The most expensive gas prices in Georgia are being found in the Brunswick, Savannah and Valdosta areas. The cheapest prices are in the Northwest Georgia counties of Catoosa, Dade and Walker.
