CHESTNUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. — The Lanier Christian girls won their second consecutive GAPPS region game with a 44-24 win over Young Americans Christian School at home on Thursday.
Defense was key as 8th-grader Faith Bolton held YACS leading scorer to no points in the 4th quarter as the pulled away for the win.
Sophomore Ellie Roberts led LCA (9-5, 2-0 GAPPS) with a double-double, pouring in 15 points to go with 13 rebounds. Senior Camille Hoffmann also had a double-double with 12 points and 15 boards. Adelyn Gough, also an 8th-grader, added 11 points and 9 rebounds for the Lady Lightning.
LCA will travel to Ellijay to play a non-conference game against North Georgia Christian Academy on Saturday at 2 p.m.
