The Arts Council announced that its inaugural Oktoberfest event scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed due to Hurricane Ian concerns.
The German-inspired free festival has been rescheduled to Friday, Oct. 14 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m..
The re-scheduled Oktoberfest will offer access to more than 20 beer vendors thanks to its partnership with Tap It Pints & Growlers. The event will also feature food trucks, live music and family-friendly kids activities. Attendees will be able to create a giant paper mache scarecrow that will be displayed during the City of Gainesville’s Scarecrow Competition.
