MARIETTA, Ga. — The top-ranked team in 7A held serve Friday night as Buford shut out Marietta 14-0.
Justice Haynes got things going for the Wolves on a 46-yard touchdown run with 3:41 to play in the first before Dylan Wittke found KJ Bolden for a 7-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter.
Both defenses ruled the second half as neither offense found the scoreboard, resulting in the Buford win.
Buford finished with 205 yards of offense while the Wolves' defense held Marietta to -59 rushing yards.
The Wolves will open region play next week at home against Collins Hill.
