An Oakwood man has been charged in connection with several entering auto cases ranging from Aug. 29 to Sept. 19.

Elijah David Everett, 18, was arrested in the early morning hours on Sept. 20 by Hall County patrol deputies.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies saw Everett “prowling” near vehicles and tried to question the man. A brief foot chase ensued, but deputies apprehended Everett shortly after.

Everett is accused of six entering auto cases.

He allegedly entered his first car between Aug. 29 and 30 on the 5000 block of Southern Trace Drive. Everett continued this behavior with another entering auto case between Sept. 2 and 3 in the 4100 block of Reed Circle. Some time passed until his next entering auto case, but on the same night/early morning between Sept. 18 and 19, Everett was involved in two entering incidents in the 5000 block of Reed Drive and another two on 4000 block of Oakwood Road.

He is charged with two misdemeanors – loitering or prowling and obstruction of an
officer. Everett was booked into the Hall County Jail on a $38,450 bond. The case is still under investigation.
