GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Lakeview Academy scored the final 42 points of the night to take down Creekside Christian Friday, 42-6.
After the visitors scored on their opening drive, the Lions poured it on, starting with a 2-yard run from Landon Hanes with 2:14 to play in the first to take a 7-6 lead. Hanes scored again to open the second half on a 40-yard pick-six that increased the score to 14-6.
Three minutes later, TJ Blackwell caught a 28-yard pass from Clay Smith to continue to add to the lead. Smith would run in from nine yards out with 3:05 to play before Hanes scored his third touchdown of the night late in the third. Ethan Croft caught a 39-yard touchdown late in the fourth for the final score.
Smith finished 10-of-12 for 103 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns, while Hanes netted 37 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns as well.
Lakeview is idle next week before hosting Strong Rock Christian on September 23.
