BUFORD, Ga. — Buford's Justice Haynes ran for 206 yards and all three touchdowns to lead the Wolves past top-five ranked North Cobb, 21-14, at Tom Riden Stadium last week.
After North Cobb rallied back to tie the game late, Buford found themselves in a last-second drive to win the game. After North Cobb committed a roughing the kicker penalty on a game-winning field goal with less than a minute to go, the Wolves decided to take it off the board and go for paydirt.
The penalty set up the Wolves with a 1st and goal from the 8-yard line, giving the Alabama commit the opportunity to race in from four yards out with just 42 seconds to play.
Haynes' performance earned him this week's Gaining the Edge spotlight.
