A months-long investigation by the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) and local partners leads to the arrest of four people.
According to ARDEO, the investigation known as "Operation A Team" culminated when officers executed several search warrants and traffic stops on July 21.
Law enforcement seized approximately 5 pounds of methamphetamine, LSD and two firearms.
"We continue to try to work with our partners in law enforcement to eradicate the drug problem in the Northeast Georgia area," ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Trent Hillsman said in a phone interview with AccessWDUN. "Without their assistance, we would not be able to operate and to make these arrests."
See the names of those arrested and their charges below:
Trevor Wade Souther, 21, of Lula, was arrested on three counts of Trafficking Methamphetamine.
Derek Malcolm Daniel, 35, of Dahlonega, was charged with two counts of Trafficking Methamphetamine.
Shelbi Deanna Eanes, 27, of Cornelia, was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Tampering with Evidence.
Thomas Christopher Moore, 39, of Lula, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of LSD.
