Gwinnett County Fire services offers reward for Molotov cocktail incidents

Gwinnett County Fire Investigators are trying to determine who is responsible for a series of Molotov cocktail incidents that occurred between June 28 and July 25. 

 

According to a press release from Gwinnett County Fire & Emergency Services, a total of five incidents have been reported and are currently under active investigation.  The incidents occurred in the general area from Sugarloaf Parkway and Five Forks Trickum Road SW to Oak Road SW in Gwinnett County.

 

Authorities said that the fires have mainly involved grass and pine straw beds near the roadway or parking lot, without any damage to buildings or vehicles.  No injuries have been reported.  Fire Investigators and police are encouraging residents and business owners to stay alert to their surroundings and to report suspicious activity to the police immediately by calling 911.

 

Anyone with information about the Molotov cocktail incidents is asked to contact the Gwinnett County Fire Investigations Section at 678.518.4890 or the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1.800.282.5804. Georgia Arson Control, Inc. offers a reward of UP TO $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for arson.
