The Gwinnett County Police Department arrested on Tuesday one man and one woman who are connected to a series of armed robberies in the county and other jurisdictions.

Steve Alan Coleman, 35 of Atlanta, and Larkerria Dominique Stevenson, 25 of Buford, were arrested after their final armed robbery at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Buford.

Detectives were able to identify Stevenson as the driver of a 2015 black Chrysler 300. Her car matched the description of the vehicle that was driven during all the robbery incidents.

Stevenson’s vehicle also had ties with armed robberies that happened in Chamblee, Acworth, and the Gwinnett City limits of Lilburn and Tucker.

A Gwinnett County Police K-9 officer and uniformed deputies conducted a traffic stop on the black Chrysler 300 shortly after the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store robbery. Coleman and Stevenson were taken into custody on the scene.

Coleman and Dominique started their string of armed robberies on June 25 at a Pizza Hut restaurant in Lawrenceville.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, the suspects acted like customers and approached the cashier with questions about their order. Then Coleman pulled a black semiautomatic handgun on the cashier and ordered them to fill a bag with money.

Coleman and Dominique repeated this armed robbery process on June 27 when they robbed a Metro PCS store in Lawrenceville. The suspects also robbed a PetsMart store in Duluth on June 29.

Coleman is charged with four counts of armed robbery, four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of possession of a firearm during a felony and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Stevenson is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. Additional charges could follow from other law enforcement agencies outside of Gwinnett.

Coleman and Stevenson are being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.
