A Flowery Branch man was arrested Tuesday after authorities allegedly found he had shared a child pornographic video online in December.
B.J. Williams, public information officer with the Hall County Sheriff's Office, said Jason Manning, 48, was charged with possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.
Investigators were reviewing a May 2, 2022, cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children when they found evidence implicating Manning in the case. Manning allegedly used his Snapchat account in December to share a video of a young child being sexually assaulted by an adult.
Investigators seized several of Manning's electronic devices at the time of his arrest. Williams said additional charges are possible pending forensic testing of those devices.
Manning remained in the Hall County Jail as of Wednesday morning.
