Buford taxi driver arrested after firing gun at customer

A taxi driver from Buford was arrested on Friday after he reportedly fired a gun at a customer after a ride service.

The Gwinnett County Police Department said Hector Armando Moreno Luzardo, 32, reportedly fired the shot shortly after midnight on May 15. Luzardo was later identified by witnesses after police responded to a discharging firearm call at the Paramount Apartment Complex.

A search warrant was executed at Luzardo's home on May 26. Authorities seized 119 grams of cocaine, 65 grams of methamphetamine, 72 grams of marijuana, $22,600 in cash and a stolen handgun.

Luzardo was charged with three counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm near a public highway, reckless conduct, criminal trespass, trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and theft by receiving stolen firearm.
