The final report from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources shows there were 40 Boating Under the Influence arrests statewide over the Memorial Day weekend.
The figures from the DNR show the highest number of incidents, 14, in the Albany law enforcement region of the state. However, not far behind is the Gainesville region with 12.
According to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division's website
"Georgia boating law states:

Those arrested could have their boating licenses revoked, and if charged with a misdemeanor, they could face up to a year in prison and a fine.
