Cherokee Bluff finished in third place as the Class 3A boys tournament is heading toward the finish at Bartrum Trail Golf Club in Evans, Ga. on Tuesday.
Caleb Vancil led the Bears with an even-par 72 performance, matching his Day 1 total, which was good enough for seventh place. TJ Harris carded a 77, Jackson Wyrick scored a 78 and Bryce Horton turned in a 79.
Dawson County's Alex Hughes shot one stroke better than he did Monday to climb the leader board and take sixth place after two days of action.
Christian Roper (83), Seth Jackson (87) and Jeremy Ray (89) were the top-4 finishers for the Tigers.
North Hall's Colin Henderson finished the day with a 6-over 78 and finished tied for 12th.
Westminster walked away with the team title with a 19-under performance, shooting 14-under in the final round to beat Richmond Academy. Westminister's top-4 golfers, Harris Barth (5-under), Price Miller (4-under), William Love (2-under) and Matthew Young (2-under) all finished under par in the final round to lead the way. But it was Richmond Academy's Ballou Phillips edging Westminster's Barth by one stroke to win the individual title.
