It's a race to the finish for the spring sports season as several Northeast Georgia golf teams began chasing a state title around the state on Monday.
Teams will play 36 holes across two days to crown individual and team champions. The final round begins Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.

In boys action around the state today, Region 7-3A has three tied for fifth place just six-stroke off the lead.
Cherokee Bluff's Caleb Vancil, Dawson County's Alex Hughes and North Hall's Colin Henderson all shot an even-par 72 and are six behind Richmond Academy's Ballou Phillips at Bertram Trail Golf Course in Evans, Ga.
Bluff's Bryce Horton is tied for 12th overall at 4-over par. The Bears are tied for third place in the team standings.
In Class 4A, Jefferson is fifth after a 39-over par 327. They are 40 strokes off the lead behind North Oconee after the opening round. Tanner Bronnum turned in a 2-over 74 and is tied for seventh.
In Class 6A, Habersham Central's Jake Rowe is tied for seventh at even par, while Buford's Sam Haynes is tied for 17th at 3-over par. In the team rankings, the Wolves are eighth, and the Raiders are 10th.
On the girls side, in Class 3A action at Belle Meade Country Club in Thomson, Ga, Cherokee Bluff's Alyssa Pressley sits atop the leaderboard with a 2-over 74.
North Hall is in third place with Lillie Mallis and MaKayla Jones sitting in seventh and twelfth, respectively.
In Class 4A, at Healy Point Country Club in Macon, Ga., Jefferson is in seventh overall, while Flowery Branch is in ninth.
Jefferson's Anna Kate Patton is currently tied for 13 with a Round 1 95, and Flowery Branch's Taylor Bays is tied for 22nd.
In Class 6A, at Jekyll Island Golf Club, Habersham Central is tied for ninth place, led by Addie Maney with a 22-over 94.
