As high school seniors graduate and move on to college, the Georgia Department of Education on Friday recognized a Hall County senior as 2022 GA Scholar.
Chestatee High School senior Hunter Bennett’s exemplary grades and participation in extracurricular activities qualified him for the award.
According to a press release from Hall County Schools, Bennett is a well-rounded student. He participated in robotics, chorus and baseball at Chestatee High School. Bennett also held several leadership positions, like chorus treasurer and National Honor Society and Robotics president.
He was an Advanced Placement student and succeeded in Chestatee High School’s RACE program.
Bennett will receive a seal for his high school diploma.
The Georgia Department of Education’s Excellence Recognition office coordinates the GA Scholar award.
