91 Gwinnett Public School Students named to Georgia Governor’s Honors Program
Gwinnett County Public Schools named 91 student finalists for the 2022 Georgia Governor’s Honors Program. There are also 17 alternate students
The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program is a residential program that will be held from June 19 to July 16 at Berry College. According to a press release, the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program is designated for rising high school juniors and seniors to receive academic, cultural and social enrichment.
Students will attend morning and afternoon classes in specific areas of study. They can also participate in evening social opportunities. The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program will provide students rooms and meals.
There are 11 different categories that students can be nominated for: agricultural research or biotechnology and science, communicative arts, dance, engineering, mathematics, music, science, social studies, theater performance, visual arts and world languages.
Students from the following high schools will participate in the program: Archer High School, Brookwood High School, Central Gwinnett High School, Collins Hill High School, Duluth High School, Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology, McClure Health Science High School, Mill Creek High School, Mountain View High School, Norcross High School, North Gwinnett High School, Parkview High School, Paul Duke STEM High School and Peachtree Ridge High School.
