A 20-year-old Elberton man has been arrested and charged with the Saturday armed robbery of the Best Buy store in Gainesville.

KeShani Colbourne was arrested shortly after he robbed the Dawsonville Highway store using a handgun. He is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and obstruction.

Gainesville police responded to the call about 5:30 p.m. Officers were told the suspect was acting as if he were about to buy two MacBooks when he pulled a gun, pointed it at employees and fled the business. He was last seen running behind the business toward the woods line.

A K9 unit led officers and Hall County deputies to an area behind Home Depot, where officers discovered clothes, the two MacBooks and a gun. At about this time, a 911 caller said a suspicious person was running behind houses on Nix Drive.

Officers tracked the suspect to the woods on Nix Drive. After he refused to come out of the woods, officers entered and took him into custody without incident.

Colbourne is being held in the Hall County Jail.
