The Gainesville Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing teenage boy.

In a social media post Friday night, police said Dereck Villareal, 15, was last seen Sunday night in the area of Spring Street and West Academy Street. At the time, police say he was with two friends who they described as younger Hispanic males.

Villareal is listed as 5 foot 8 inches tall weighing 132 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants, black shoes and an ankle monitor.

Anyone with information on Villareal's location is asked to contact Gainesville detectives by calling 770-535-3035 or submitting an anonymous tip online.
