HOSCHTON, Ga. — North Forsyth blew a 3-1 lead in the seventh inning to fall to Mill Creek in Game 3 of the first round of the Class 7A playoffs on Thursday.
The Raiders gave up three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, including a dropped third strike on Cole Mullins' at-bat that got away from the catcher and allowed Jacques Walker to rush home for the game-winning run.
The loss eliminates the Raiders from the Class 7A playoffs.
The Hawks put together a solid seventh inning with a double and a single before Walker's RBI single that cut the North Forsyth lead to one, 3-2. Later on, Daniel Pierce reached on a hit by a pitch to load the bases and a batter later Nick Hollifield walked to bring the game-tying run to the plate.
The Raiders scored one run in the first and two in the fourth.
Tyler Triche had another solid day at the plater for the Raiders, going 3-for-4. Brett Barfield was 2-for-3 with one RBI Varsity ten to eight.
COMMERCE 7, 12
ARMUCHEE 0, 1
The Tigers cruised into the second round of the Class A Public playoffs with the sweep against Armuchee on Thursday at home.
Cayden Lord shut down Armuchee in the complete-game performance, allowing six hits and six strikeouts.
The Tigers took control in the third inning on singles by Coleson Smith and Alex Rainey, an error on a ball put in play by Landon Bunn, and a double by Brayton Purcell.
Smith was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Purcell was 1-for-4 with three RBIs.
In Game 2, the Tigers scored four runs in the third and five in the fourth to blow open the game.
Ryan Cooper, Hampton Hutto, Smith and Purcell drove two runs home each. Landon Bunn was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Jaxon Foster was the winning pitcher, allowing one run on four hits through four innings of work. He also had four Ks.

EAST FORSYTH 4, 6
The Broncos (Region 7-3A No. 4 seed) battled back in both games but fell short in both against Greater Atlanta Christian School (Region 5-3A No. 1 seed) on the road Thursday in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs.
In Game 1, East Forsyth scattered eight hits with Blake Riley and Wyatt Barden recording multiple hits. Barden and Riley had two hits each.
The Broncos got on the board in the fifth inning one a Trey Farr RBI single and started the sixth inning with a walk, double and a single to load the bases. On the next at-bat, L Pedretti scored on a balk for the Broncos' second run of the game.
In the seventh, Lucas Kniola ripped a two-RBI double to left field, but the Broncos ended the inning with a strikeout and line out.
In Game 2, East Forsyth was down 7-1 going into the seventh inning and took advantage of the Spartans' pitching woes. The Broncos scored five runs on a single by Eric Walsh, a walk by Skyler Duffey, a walk by Cameron Frady, a walk by Logan Pedretti and a walk by Wyatt Barden.
