A Jackson County woman has been arrested on drug trafficking charges. According to a press release from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO), the arrest came after a year-long investigation.
Angela Burke, 45 of Nicholson, was arrested last week when she was found with 172 grams of methamphetamine. The methamphetamine has a street value worth $12,900.
Burke is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Distribution of Methamphetamine.
The investigation was a collaboration between ARDEO, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Banks County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol. The investigation is still active and ongoing.
