A grass fire damaged multiple structures and vehicles in Oakwood late Wednesday afternoon.

Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the 5600 block of Sallee Avenue just after 4 p.m., where they learned the fire started as a controlled burn that quickly got out of hand.

"The dispatch assignment was upgraded just prior to units arriving on scene to discover the fire had spread to multiple structures, vehicles and an RV," explained Capt. Bobby Ogletree, EMS Coordinator with Hall County Government. "Hose lines were rapidly deployed to contain the fire. Once contained, the fire was extinguished in very short order."

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

Hall County fire investigators were called to the scene to assess the extent of the damage.
