The Statham Police Department issued an alert Tuesday regarding a man who has allegedly been making sexual advances toward strangers in the city.

The release from the police department said an older white man has been making inappropriate comments and sexual advances toward young men near Robert Bridges Park on Furr Lane and the walking trail on Broad Street. The man is described as about 60 years old. He was also seen driving an older brown Ford pickup truck.

Anyone with information on the man is asked to contact Chief Ira Underwood or Officer Davis at 770-725-5992.
