A Cleveland man died Thursday night in a single-vehicle crash in eastern Hall County.

A report from the Hall County Sheriff's Office states David Lendon Brooks, 62, died as a result of injuries he suffered in the crash.

Brooks and a passenger were traveling northbound on Lula Road near Julian Wiley Road around 8:30 p.m. when the vehicle they were in left the roadway.

The 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier Brooks was driving then rolled onto its roof and hit a tree.

The vehicle was in a curve just before the crash, and investigators believe Brooks overcorrected and lost control of the car.

The passenger with Brooks, Kenneth Lamar Prophet, 32, of Cleveland, suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
