A group of Republican candidates running in the May primary election will engage with voters at a candidate forum Saturday, April 2, at the Gainesville Civic Center.
Opening ceremonies for the free event begin at 9:30 a.m. It will run through 4 p.m. Those interested in registering for the event can visit this link.
A Facebook listing for the event states candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Secretary of Labor, Secretary of Agriculture, Superintendent of Schools, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives districts 6, 9 and 10 and State Legislature will all be present at the event.
Candidates will speak about their platform and will be asked questions by a moderator. The event is not a debate and is intended to give voters a chance to meet with candidates prior to the May primary.
The event is presented by the Republican Women of Hall County, Republican Women of Forsyth County, Hall County GOP, Jackson County GOP, Cobb County GOP, Lumpkin County GOP, Dawson County GOP, Rabun County GOP, Forsyth County COP, Stephens County GOP and Franklin County GOP.
