BUFORD, Ga. — The Buford boys and girls tennis teams shut out their opponents on Tuesday to advance to the Region 8-6A championship match set for Wednesday at Buford City Park.

The Lady Wolves knocked off Habersham Central, 3-0, behind a dominant doubles performance. Kylie Mccammon and Abigail Foretic as well as Anna Cate Smith and Millie Patel did quick work of their opponents to seal the win. Singles hot-hand, Berkley Clark, earned a win to help the Lady Wolves to the championship round.

The Lady Wolves (16-3) will face Lanier for the region title on Wednesday. Match time is set for 4:30 p.m.

On the boys side, the Wolves beat Winder-Barrow in the semifinals, 3-0. Again, the doubles lines with Brent Sherman and Miller Troutt and Grayson Gilbert and Nic Keller wasted little time in picking up the wins. James Trout scored the win in singles action.

The Wolves (16-3) will play Habersham Central in the title match also at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
