Our Hard Left Turn crew has been saying it since the season opener last month - it was only a matter of time before Ross Chastain would be smashing a watermelon with his first NASCAR Cup Series win.

Sunday was the day, as he gave Trackhouse Racing its first win in a wild finish at Circuit of the Americas.

Brandon Reed and Amy Henderson take a look at all the happenings out of the Austin, Texas road course on this week's podcast, including:

-Chastain was first shoved out of the lead by A.J. Allmendinger with a handfull of turns to go, and then repaid the favor on Allmendinger while also moving Alex Bowman with two turns remaining to drive to the victory.

-Allmendinger was understandably upset afterwards, but kept his composure in his post race interview.

-In their first season as a two-car team, Trackhouse Racing has already well exceeded expectations.

-After last year's race was hampered by rain, COTA gave a great show, as did the Next Gen car in its road course debut.

-Plus we'll preview this weekend's action at Richmond.
