William Byron looked like a sitting duck on the final lap of Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, but instead came home with his third career series win.

Our Hard Left Turn crew will get you up to speed, as Brandon Reed, Amy Henderson and pinch-hitter Joe VanHoose take a look at all the news out of the Atlanta race weekend, including:

-Byron was the beneficiary of an early move by Ross Chastain that broke up any hopes of last lap heroics from behind to score the victory at Atlanta.

-Chastain came back from a cut tire and crash while leading to finish in second on a day when several Chevrolet teams saw tire issues.

-The new AMS layout promised pack style racing on the 1.5-mile layout.  What marks do our Hard Left Turn crew give the new track?

-Joe VanHoose had a look back at the death of Gresham Motorsports Park in a piece on Beyond The Trestle this week.

Plus we'll preview this weekend's NASCAR events at the Circuit of the Americas.
